‘‘Struggle is an interesting thing. I can tell you Mitt and I have struggled a great deal, that we can understand people who are going through difficulties right now because we have gone through our own personal hardships.

Ann Romney, in Denver on Tuesday, in response to a KUSA-TV viewer asking whether she and her husband really have a finger on pulse of Americans if they’ve never struggled.

Ah, yes. She’s harkening back to the dark days when she and Mitt had to live off their stock portfolio. Oh the humanity…

Queen Ann Speaks

During an interview early this evening with Radio Iowa, Mrs. Romney directly addressed her fellow Republicans who’ve criticized her husband.

“Stop it. This is hard. You want to try it? Get in the ring,” she said. “This is hard and, you know, it’s an important thing that we’re doing right now and it’s an important election and it is time for all Americans to realize how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitt’s qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country.”

I believe this is the segment known as “Thy Sense of Entitlement Runneth Over.” Sorry, Ann, but those of us not in possession of car elevators and who know precisely how many homes we own don’t feel that sense of obligation to elect your husband that you feel we should. I’m afraid the 19th century is over and we no longer consider folks like you to be “our betters.” Perhaps you should invest some of that Cayman Islands lucre with an inventor who can create a time machine for you and your clueless spouse.

Ann Romney wants Latinos to let go of their biases against Republicans… Wait, what?

But wait, there’s more:
Ann Romney quote: “You’d better really look at your future and figure out who’s going to be the guy that’s going to make it better for you and your children, and there is only one answer.”
These bigoted, condescending, paternalistic, xenophobic, privileged, out of touch, douche bags seriously have gots to go. No, better yet, they need to Self-Deport themselves.

BIASES….this is a hard pill to swallow, especially coming from the likes of her and her husband.  These people who have NO CULTURE and see life through binoculars have no idea about a world around them.  THAT’S PURE NARCISSISM and GRANDEUR!  Maybe she needs to go hang out in Anaheim, CA for a bit without her money, her jewels and just experience the BIAS!

Thanks, Ann. I’m sure all “those” people appreciate being told what to do by The Great White Goddess.

While it’s heartening that Ann Romney has been helped by the horses, most MS sufferers don’t have the luxury of importing $100,000 horses from Europe. And the candidate’s disavowal of dressage as “Ann’s sport” isn’t quite right. In an interview with the Web site Chronicle of the Horse, Rafalca’s trainer, Jan Ebeling, said Mitt Romney selected the music for the horse’s routine at an international competition; Ebeling, in another interview, said the former Massachusetts governor, inspired by his wife, “really enjoys the horses.” Romney joined his wife at an Olympic qualifying dressage event in April 2008, and the couple declared a $77,731 loss on their 2010 tax returns for their share of Rafalca’s care.

What kind of man ditches his wife out of political fear?

cartonplanet:

Obviously Mitt Romney is in a pickle. If he attends the Olympic competition with his wife’s dressage (pronounced the French way) horse, he looks like the out-of-touch rich douchebag that he is. Who has the kind of money to engage in such a hobby? Not the kind of people who are swing voters in Ohio or Florida, that’s who.

But if the alternative is to ditch your wife, how does that make you look any better?

Mitt Romney tried to distance himself from the elite horse-dancing sport of dressage on Wednesday night, telling NBC’s Brian Williams that he doesn’t know anything about it – and doesn’t plan to watch his wife’s horse compete in the upcoming Olympics.

“It’s a big, exciting experience for my wife. I have to tell you, this is Ann’s sport,” Romney said. “I’m not even sure which day the sport goes on. She will get the chance to see it, I will not be watching the event. I hope her horse does well.”

Romney isn’t just a dick to NASCAR fans and cookie-offering ladies at a picnic. He isn’t just a dick to the Brits or Palestinians or Mexicans or Peruvians.

He’s a dick to his own wife, who should respond like this:

“It’s a big exciting experience for my husband. I have to tell you, this is Mitt’s vocation. I’m not even sure which day the election goes on. He’ll get a chance to participate, I will not be voting in the event. I hope he does well.”

Romney’s snub of his wife is particularly galling given how much his campaign has leaned on her to “humanize” him. But rather than show that he’ll buck politics in order to stand proud with his wife, he cowers and runs away, embarrassed and ashamed of the woman with whom he pledged to spend eternity.

Dick.

First Mitt Romney tells the NAACP, “If *they* want more free stuff from government tell *them* to go vote for the other guy.” Then Ann Romney says “We’ve given all *you people* need to know.”

odinsblog:

They? Them?? You people?!? Why not just say “let them eat cake?” Their idea of ‘struggling’ college students is selling off wads of stock. Yeah, just pull yourself up by your stock portfolio. Mitt’s advise to average townies to pay for college or start a small business is to just borrow from your parents. Why didn’t I think of that?

The Romneys aren’t just the epitome of the privileged, condescending, self-entitled 1% they’re also 100% out of touch with average Americans.

  • The meme from candidate Romney appears to be that no matter what we are all obligated to take his word for everything. I mean, he is a businessman. It’s not like they ever lie about anything or break any laws, right? It’s not like he’s one of those greedy teachers, police or firefighters he wants to fire.
  • And let’s not forget Queen Antoinette Romney saying how it’s simply their turn. Fuck, why even have an election? Since it’s their turn ‘nshit.
  • Are we seriously to believe Swiss Miss Antoinette Romney when she says she doesn’t feel wealthy? That was beyond a lie, it was an insult to our intelligence.

And what’s worse is they don’t even seem to know (or care) just how utterly out of touch they are.
