Nobody's House (and Nobody's Home)

Empty Rooms With so Much In Them

75 notes

[The Ku Klux] Klan in some areas of the country tried to be a means of reform, fighting the decline in morality and using the symbol of the cross. Klan targets were bootleggers, wife-beaters, and immoral movies. In some communities it achieved a certain respectability as it worked with politicians.

United States History for Christian Schools, 3rd ed., Bob Jones University Press, 2001 (via itswalky)

Bob Jones University is a Christian school.  Did I miss when lying stopped being a sin for Christians?

(via choochoobear)

Who cares about that silly lynching and the burning of black homes and businesses? None of that is important. Think of all the immoral movies the Klan prevented people from seeing!

I can’t wait to read their section on Nazi Germany where they talk about the great things Hitler did for the German economy.
